Stop unnecessary services
Go to Start> in the search box, type services.msc
You can set the start up type to Manual or OFF. If you are not sure, use the type MANUAL ensure that Windows can start the service if it needs to function, or for an application
Here is a list of services that can be set to MANUAL safely and OFF when said:

Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) (Manual, useless if you do not have a web cam)

Then turn off non-Microsoft services.
Go to Start> type msconfig in the search box and press Enter,> go to the Services tab to stop those who are not worth the trouble of being launched

Improving hard drive performance (cache, SATA)
Hard disk performance can be improved by enabling the write cache. The data is then stored and recorded on the hard drive.
Start> type Device Manager> deploy Disk Drives> right-click on the hard drive,> select Properties
In the Policies tab, check Enable write caching on the device

Improve performance for SATA (AHCI convert IDE)
Each hard drive in a recent computer is connected to the system with a SATA controller. For greater compatibility, multiple PCs are configured to use the IDE in BIOS to communicate with the SATA drive. While this configuration is acceptable, the IDE does not support the new technologies as "NCQ", "hot plugging" (adding or removing disks without rebooting). Intel invented a controller known to AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) that supports these technologies with the latest SATA drives. If you have a drive that supports NCQ, it is probably worth a try to see if performance is at the rendezvous.

Previously this was not possible in Windows. It was the changes that always gave blue screens. Because the IDE was detected at the Windows installation. So it did not install the AHCI driver.
Now there is a simple solution that allows you to switch from IDE to AHCI in the BIOS and Windows will then start without any problems. The registry key to activate the AHCI driver in Windows before the change in the BIOS.

For most users, it will work:
Go to Start> type regedit in the Search box
Open Regedit and navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ services \ MSAHCI. Right-click on "Start DWORD" and select Edit

Set the value to 0 and click OK
Now the Start key should be 0.

Restart and enable AHCI setting in the Bios.

If you use a RAID adapter or other interface try the following key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStorV Ou HEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStor.
Make the same settings

Accelerate the loading of Internet Explorer

Long load times when the user starts Internet Explorer is one of the most commonly observed performance issues with Internet Explorer 8. The main cause of this problem is due to the additional modules (google toolbar, yahoo toolbar ..) that were installed on the PC. These programs are loaded each time you start IE. These programs are completely useless and avoiding.

Internet Explorer 8 includes a handy feature that will help you determine the loading time of each module and also disable unwanted modules.
When Internet Explorer is launched, go to Tools and Modules Supplement.

Note the column "load time". you find the time required for each module.

Windows updates

Updates can improve the security and performance of your computer.
Go to Start> type Windows Update> Install updates

Use the most current drivers

Windows 7 includes enough generic drivers so you can use your system after installation. But these drivers are not always the most current. These are just functional approved drivers for Windows 7. To get the best possible performance with your hardware, you often take a ride on your device manufacturer website . For some, this is not something simple so I suggest the site http://www.ma-config.com/ installs an activex on the machine detects your hardware and redirects you to the download page driver up to date. It's simple and easy.

Install only the necessary software

Be sure to install only the software you need. If you install a trial software and find out that you do not really need, uninstall and delete it immediately. Make it a habit not to systematically "Next" when you install software, as sometimes they include malware, toolbars (google, yahoo, asktoolbar ...). Uncheck the options you do not want, keep your own office.
If your computer is brand new with full "garbage" and test software. Do not you think lucky to have them! It's purely marketing. They do not care if it's going to slow down your machine. Generally a good format is better, but when it is not possible PC Decrapifier can help make the process faster and without much difficulty.

To remove a virus, avoid passing through "Uninstall a Program" in the Control Panel. Go on the Internet rather retrieve the removal utility. (For research, this is the name + antivirus removal tool. Example: Norton removal tool) because they are more efficient and reap the dlls, files, files remaining on the machine.

Then after selecting the right software, you must monitor the programs that launch at start up.
Speed up Windows 7 boot time

Go to Start> type msconfig in the search box and press Enter,> go to the Start up tab and uncheck everything is useless. (These are the programs that slow startup of the machine).

Delete temporary files regularly.

It is important to regularly clean a little of his machine (empty the recycle bin, temporary files, logs, recent files, cookies ..). Although it is possible to do directly with disk cleanup tool in Windows, I suggest you use CCleaner which is much more complete. The software will take care to remove and clean your system with one click. (Considered the best cleaning software)
